How to Connect to Hosted Quickbooks

To login to our remote server: 

  1. From your computer, launch the REMOTE DESKTOP CLIENT (this application can be found under the Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories) in Windows 7 and by searching under Windows 8.

    Note: If using an APPLE / MAC computer, you can search for "Microsoft Remote Desktop" in the iTunes store and download it to your computer.

  2. Once the dialog opens, enter "liberty.pureittech.com" under the server name
     
  3. For the username, select "use another account" (Windows 8 or later), then enter "AtlantaSBT\{username}" where {username} should be your first initial and last name.  (i.e. if your name is Bob Johnson, the username would be bjohnson)
     
  4. Enter your password
     
  5. Note: You can safely ignore any security warning that may pop-up.
     
  6. Once connected, follow the instructions below to connect and open your quickbooks application.  Note: if Quickbooks doesn't open automatically,  you can open it by clicking on the Quickbooks icon on the start menu. 

To open a Quickbooks File (once you are logged in):

  1. Open Quickbooks
  2. Select OPEN AN EXISTING COMPANY FILE from the Quickbooks dialog box.
  3. Select OPEN A COMPANY FILE, click NEXT
  4. Click the QUICKBOOKS DATA folder on the left-hand of the dialog box that opens
  5. Select your COMPANY FOLDER (the name of your company) and open your COMPANY FILE (the actual QB file)
  6. Enter your login credentials
  7. Verify any existing Quickbooks services function correctly: online banking, credit card processing, etc.
  8. Verify you can print, create PDFs, and send emails from Quickbooks.
    Remember you can print to the “BULLZIP PDF PRINTER” and download a PDF to your local hard drive.
  9. Verify you can open Quickbooks in multi-user mode.
  10. Verify / Setup your Quickbooks back-up options
