Email Setup: Microsoft Outlook 2007 / 2010

Our Microsoft Outlook Auto Setup Tool will automatically create a new Microsoft Outlook profile for your hosted Microsoft Exchange mailbox. If you have other email accounts configured in your current profile you will need to manually move them to the new profile.

This Setup tool will not create your mailbox on the Exchange Server. If you are unsure as to whether your mailbox has already been created, please contact your company administrator.

Please note:
You must be using Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, or Outlook 2013 to proceed.
If you are unsure of which Microsoft Exchange server you are connecting to or which version of Microsoft Outlook you are running, please create a ticket using our new support tool.

WARNING: If you have existing email in your Outlook mailbox, DO NOT RUN THIS TOOL!
Doing so could create duplicate email accounts and/or cause you to loose email.  Instead you should contact our support team by creating a ticket using the link above and schedule a time for one of our staff to assist you in migrating to our servers.  This is also important to make sure you don't have down time when switching from your current provider to ours.

To setup Microsoft Outlook:

    1. Close Microsoft Outlook.
    2. Download and run the Auto Setup Tool

Note: This tool will modify the registry entry to access the configuration file which will be deployed by the setup tool.

NOTE: For Windows 7 users, you will need to download the Auto Setup Tool software first and then run the setup tool as the administrator. To run as an administrator, go to the location the file was downloaded to, right click on the file and select "Run as Administrator".

  1. Click "OK"

  2. Enter your new email address and click "Next".
Note: your email address will typically be in the format:
    {first initial last name}@yourdomain.com.

For example, a user named Dave Johnson working for Pure Technology might have an email of djohnson@pureittech.com.

  3. Click "OK" to proceed to login when you are presented with the message below.

  4. Enter your email address and password to login. Click "OK". You will need to login once more after this.
Note: Your email address and password was emailed to your administrator when your new account was created.
If you do not have this information, please create a support ticket using the link above.

  5. After your second login, Microsoft Outlook will open automatically and load your new profile. Please be patient as Outlook will now sync with the Exchange server and this could take some time.

  6. Click Finish.
