Email Setup: Android Phone Or Tablet

Note: All of the following steps must be performed on your Handheld.

    1. From the Homescreen on the Android Phone or Tablet, press the Menu Button and go to: Settings -> Accounts & Sync Settings -> Add Account -> Microsoft Exchange

      On a Motorola Droid this is:
      Settings -> Accounts -> Add Account -> Corporate -> Manual Setup

    2. Enter the exchange server settings in the appropriate fields.

      • Login Email Address: 

        Note: your login e-mail address is most likely your "first initial" followed by your "last name" even if you use a different email address to send/receive emails.

        For example, for Don Johnson you would enter "djohnson@pureittech.com".

      • Server: mail10.myoutlookonline.com (pre 2012) or mail11.myoutlookonline.com (2013 and later)

        If your company's account (not your individual account) was active with our services prior to 12/31/2013 you will most likely be on our mail10 server.  Otherwise you will be on mail11.
         
      • Domain: sh10.lan 

      • User Name: your email address (same as above) or username (if provided)

      • Password: Your password

      • Ensure Use secure connection (SSL) is checked.
        If available, check the box for "Accept All Certificates". Click Next. 



    3. Your Device will now try to connect to the Exchange server using the details entered.



    4. Once the connection is successfully created, you will be prompted to select the data to sync to the server with then press finish setup to complete the process.
